Student Parking

Applying for a Student Parking Permit at West-Oak High School is a 3 step process:

1. Per the State of South Carolina, Students must complete either Alive at 25 from the SC State Troopers Association OR Drive Smart from the Oconee County Sheriff's Office. Both options cost about $25 and can be taken at anytime before driving, even after earning a SC Learner's Driving Permit.

Drive Smart is a driving course taught by SDOC School Resource Officers that all students must
take prior to driving and parking on one of our campuses.  This four-hour course will be taught at each of our three high schools and is designed to help teens gain the knowledge to drive defensively.  The Drive Smart driving course will take the place of the requirement for Alive at 25 and will be offered at $25.00.  A student may still take the Alive at 25 course instead of Drive Smart.

2. Students who have completed Drive Smart/ Alive at 25  should then complete the Driver's Application and Contract Form. CLICK HERE TO COMPLETE THIS FORM

3. Students who have completed the above steps should go to School Pay and purchase a parking space, students may also pay our bookkeeper on campus. Students also cannot have any other outstanding student debts. CLICK HERE FOR A LINK TO SCHOOL PAY.

Once a student has paid their fee, completed Drive-Smart or Alive at 25 with a passing score on test, and submitted their Application and Contract, they will be issued a parking space with a matching hang tag.
STUDENTS ARE NOT TO DRIVE TO SCHOOL UNTIL THEY HAVE BEEN ISSUED A HANG TAG.
